……so, here we are. A little bit about me;
I studied a B.A. Hons in Graphic Design at Middlesex before transferring to Newcastle Poly in 1991 to finish my degree. On graduating I went straight into the industry and worked my way up at various advertising and marketing agencies in the North East from old school Artworker (the great days of cow gum, scalpels & drawing boards) to Senior Designer. I’ve been self employed (trading as Squid Design) for most of the past fourteen years.
Initially trained to do everything in Quark, Freehand and Photoshop….and saving everything onto floppy disc (that’s how long I’ve been around the industry), like everybody else now I use Adobe Creative Suite…..so yes, I’m yet another InDesign convert. Still holding out on Illustrator though!
I’ve worked on everything from beer mats to brochures, egg boxes to exhibition stands, flyers to fashion houses. I hope this little online sample portfolio will give you an idea on the breadth of work I have done, and knowledge I have acquired over the years.
I’ve been trained by some of the smartest, have worked alongside a few of the greatest (you know who you are) and can banter with the best of them!
